Born and raised in Guilford, Connecticut, Dr. Alexa Brancato was the first in her family to attend college. After receiving her BS degree in biology from the University of Connecticut, she attended the School of Dental Medicine at the University of Connecticut, receiving her DMD in 2017. Dr. Alexa moved to Wilmington in 2017 for the general practice Residency program at the Christiana Care Health System. After graduating, Dr. Alexa worked at a general dentistry practice and realized she loves working with children. She joined Dentistry for Children in May 2019, and will be going back to school to become a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist at St Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia in the summer of 2020.
Dr. Alexa is a member of the American Dental Association, the Delaware State Dental Society, the Special Care Dental Association, and serves on the legislative committee for the Delaware State Dental Society. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, kickboxing, and spending time with her family and friends.
